Volunteers
Our volunteers make it possible for St. Mary Parish to offer Religious Education. We are grateful for their effort and their gift of time. Volunteers not only transmit the faith by word but most importantly by their witness and example.
The role of catechist is foremost a calling for God.

In addition to Catechists, the Religious Education program needs the assistance from other volunteers to fulfill these roles: Classroom aide, Substitute Catechist, Substitute Aide, Door Monitor, and Office Help.
All volunteers must complete the Virtus Online Safe Environments forms and training as well as get a background check. You can access Virtus online at www.virtusonline.org. Just create a User ID and password, and the Diocesan password is 2Train! There are 3 prerequisite classes to be completed before classes begin.
Parents who volunteer will receive a tuition discount.
